What is a health coach? How is it different than a nutritionist or doctor?

A Health Coach is a supportive mentor and wellness expert, trained in holistic health, to help you implement sustainable lifestyle changes. Unlike a registered health care provider, a Health Coach does not provide healthcare, prescribe medications or health tests, or diagnose, treat or cure disease.

How does health coaching work?

I provide you with ongoing support and guidance as you set your goals and make sustainable lifestyle changes to reach those goals

  • In our complementary consultation, we will determine if we are a good match to work together and discuss which package makes the most sense for you
  • During your first official session we will go over your health background, current lifestyle and discuss your health and wellness goals
  • Then together we define specific, realistic health and wellness goals for you to work towards
  • Thereafter, I will provide you with practical tips and tools to help you implement sustainable lifestyle changes

What should I expect for my complementary 20-minute consultation?

The purpose of this session to learn more about each other and make sure we’re a good fit before moving forward. We discuss your health and wellness goals, how I can help you achieve them, and which package makes the most sense for you. I will also address any questions or concerns you have about my approach.

Why is the shortest program 8 weeks?

It is important for us to build a trusting coaching relationship and for you to have sufficient time to make progress and start to see results.

Can I change programs?

You can upgrade programs at the prorated cost difference.

What happens when I’m done with my program?

That is up to you. By the end of the program, you will be equipped with the needed knowledge to sustain the healthy lifestyle habits we worked together to build. Based on what is going on in your life and where you are with meeting your health and wellness goals, or if you want to work towards new goals, it may make sense to renew your package or just schedule single sessions to check-in from time to time. Just because the package is over doesn’t mean we have to stop seeing each other if you don’t want to.

What if I don’t reach my health and wellness goals by the end of the program?

When creating your goals, the first thing we want to do is make sure they are realistic. During our sessions we will make attainable action plans to get you to meet your goals. While it is my job to provide you with guidance, support and encouragement, since the majority of the program occurs outside our sessions, the results are truly up to you. As I’ve mentioned before, by becoming my client, you get my full commitment to seeing you succeed – I will do everything in my power to help get to where you want to be!
